Frederick Prince is again elected mayor of Boston.

Prince (D), with 19,676 votes, defeats Charles Codman, with 18,003, and others to again be elected as mayor. Once again, Prince is elected with the support of ward boss Patrick Maguire. He is inaugurated on January 5, 1880.
